‘Bound and Stifled’ is a semi abstract representation of the state of people during the lockdown. It is exactly what I experienced but what people around the world experienced, people who had much worse experiences. The pandemic wreaked havoc on many people. It was like being bound by a straightjacket or by thick cloth, where a person cannot free themselves and are unable to do anything at all. A mind-numbing experience which left them thirsting for company. I have shown the silhouette of a person being bound in this way, the background is divided into segments, each part in angular blocks that are like hurdles which hinder movement.
